BIENVENIDO

Since 2019, the María Manuela winery – which dates back to 1841 and forms part of Bodega de Mora – has been home to an exhibition space dedicated to Osborne’s major milestones since its foundation in 1772, with a particular focus on the history of the Osborne Bull.

The Osborne Bull, a registered trade mark owned by Osborne, was created in 1956 for the ‘Veterano’ brandy and eventually became the company’s flagship brand. Its history includes numerous awards, anecdotes and a campaign that culminated in the famous reprieve for the billboards. Osborne owns all the Osborne Bull billboards located in Spain and abroad.
Osborne is responsible for preserving, maintaining and safeguarding them, ensuring their heritage, historical and architectural value.

The exhibition features never-before-seen documents – such as letters from Washington Irving – the mysterious connection between the Osborne family and Tolkien, who wrote the famous book *The Hobbit*, and works by great 20th-century artists inspired by the Osborne Bull – pieces by Salvador Dalí, photographs by Annie Leibovitz, Richard Avedon and Helmut Newton, designs by Keith Haring, and an Osborne Bull adorned with Swarovski crystals, amongst many other pieces from the worlds of sport, design and even music.
