COOKIE POLICY
This policy aims to provide you with clear and detailed information on what cookies are, what they are used for, what types of cookies we use, and how to configure or, where applicable, disable them. The OSBORNE FOUNDATION, either directly or through a third party contracted to provide analytics services, may use cookies when you browse this website.
What are cookies?
Cookies are small files that are downloaded to your device (computer, tablet or mobile phone) when you visit certain websites. The cookies used by the OSBORNE FOUNDATION, or by third parties acting on its behalf, are linked solely to an anonymous user and their device and do not, in themselves, provide any personal data
What cookies do we use?
First-party cookies
These are cookies sent to the user’s browser from a computer or domain managed by the publisher itself, from which the service requested by the user is provided.
Session cookies
These cookies are designed to collect and store data whilst the user is browsing a website.
Analytical cookies
These cookies, whether processed by us or by third parties, enable us to measure the number of users and carry out statistical analysis of how they use the service we provide. To this end, we analyse how users navigate our website in order to improve the range of products and services we offer.
Google Analytics
We use Google Analytics to collect and analyse browsing data.
This application was developed by Google and it provides us with website audience analytics. Google may use this data to improve its own services and provide services to other companies. You can find out more about these other uses via the links below.
This tool does not collect data such as users’ first names, surnames or the postal address from which they connect. The information collected relates, for example, to the number of pages visited, the language, the social media platform on which our news items are published, the city to which the IP address from which users access the site is assigned, the number of users who visit our site, the frequency and recurrence of visits, the duration of visits, the browser they use, and the operator or type of device from which the visit is made.
We use this information to improve our website, identify new needs and assess the improvements to be made, with the aim of providing a better service to our visitors.
What do we use the information we collect for?
Information obtained through the use of cookies, where authorised, will be used to send information to users, provide website services, carry out promotional activities and communicate these to users, as well as to make commercial offers and advertise products by any means.
Cookies enable the OSBORNE FOUNDATION’s server, or that of a third party acting on its behalf, to recognise the browser on the computer used by the User, with the aim of making browsing easier; for example, by allowing Users who have previously registered to access the areas, services, promotions or competitions reserved exclusively for them without having to sign in on every visit. They are also used to measure audience and traffic, and to monitor website performance and visitor numbers. Users can identify the server sending cookies by consulting their browser’s user guide. They can also configure their browser to display a notification when cookies are received and to prevent them from being stored on their hard drive.

In order to use the OSBORNE FOUNDATION website, the User is not required to allow the installation of cookies sent by the OSBORNE FOUNDATION, or by a third party acting on its behalf; however, the User must log in to each of the services that require prior registration or login.
Similarly, the OSBORNE FOUNDATION’s web servers may automatically detect the IP address and domain name used by the user. This information is recorded in a server activity log, allowing the data to be processed to generate statistics, such as the number of page views and visits to the website. This file is anonymised to prevent users’ devices from being identified.
